Conference Focus:

The Conference Organizing Committee invites scholars, academic public, and students to participate both actively (with their own research) and passively (as active listeners and debaters). Its main theme is focused on promoting an interdisciplinary approach to ethical questions that arise in relation to contemporary scientific research and the application of its results (especially in the area of natural and technical sciences) in the lives of individuals and societies. Scholars across disciplines (natural and technical sciences, as well as social sciences and humanities) will explore the intricate connections and interdependences of scientific disciplines, real life scenarios, and ethical challenges that we face as humans in our globalized world.

Conference Outcomes:

Selected articles (40-45) will be published in the scientific journal: Communications: Scientific Letters of the University of Žilina or in the European Journal of Science and Theology (both Indexed in SCOPUS; publication year 2018). The rest of the submitted and reviewed papers will be published in a peer-reviewed scientific anthology. All papers will be subjected to a rigorous review process by two independent peer reviewers from the corresponding academic field. Papers not complying with high academic standards will be rejected.

In addition, a Conference Book of Abstracts will be published and printed by the University of Žilina Publishing House (EDIS). It will be handed out to Conference participants on the first day of registration (September 21, 2017).
